Line of Duty's Kelly McDonald 'refuses to watch' crunch final episode

Line of Duty star Kelly McDonald has revealed she 'can't watch' Sunday night's crunch final episode of series 6.

Former Trainspotting actress Kelly has been thrown right into the frying pan of drama in the latest run of the hit BBC drama as mysterious newcomer DCI Jo Davidson.

Immediately under suspicion from her colleagues particularly AC-12's head honcho Ted Hastings, Jo has been at the centre of a number of massive storylines in her brief time in the ranks.

There was that almighty cliff hanger over who her 'blood relative' was, with it turning out to be notorious crime boss Tommy Hunter and the shoot out which saw Ryan Pilkington lose his life and Jo and colleague Kate Fleming flung into custody.

And then came THAT interrogation scene when Jo found herself on the wrong end of one hell of a grilling from Hastings and Carmichael.

Last Sunday's penultimate episode of Line of Duty saw the cell door slam shut on Jo and the trailer for the final part shows her in the back of a prison van as things look set to come to a gripping conclusion.

Jo is among the contenders to be exposed as H but Kelly won't be tuning in with millions of others to find out.

When questioned during an interview on BBC Radio 6 Music as to whether she’ll be watching, Kelly replied: “Hell no!”

“I watched the first episode and I’m sort of… no! It was just a bit too much for me.

"I thought I could watch it. I tried to watch it. It turns out I cannot watch it.”

While Jo Davidson is in the betting to be H, the two frontrunners are Carmichael and Chief Constable Osborne.

Other names in the frame include Marcus Thirwell and you can even get odds on H being Kate Fleming or Steve Arnott.

A YouGov poll of over 1,000 Line of Duty viewers saw Osborne come out on top just ahead of Carmichael.
