Line of Duty Star Kelly Macdonald admitted to the One Show's Alex Jones that she finds the Welsh accent the "hardest in the world".
In an appearance on the One Show on Thursday evening, Kelly Macdonald admitted that she was left mortified when she attempted a read-through of a show doing the Welsh accent, so much so that other cast members offered her help with it.
Kelly Macdonald appeared on the most recent series of Line of Duty and her character was key to AC-12 finding out the true identity of H. The actress was quizzed by presenters about her experience with accents and she was complimented on her Texan and Australian accent. But when asked about what accents she struggles with, she admitted she is not the best at Welsh.

The Scottish native said: "Out of all the accents I have done, Welsh is the hardest."
Welsh presenter Alex interrupted and asked her to give it a go, Kelly repeated her words back to her mirroring Alex's accent but said: "I can't do it!" and covered her face with her hands.
She continued: "It was a real struggle and it was so embarrassing, because I was working with all these amazing Welsh actors, and after the read-through, lots of them very kindly came up to me to say 'You know if you need help...' and they were being really kind but I wanted the ground to swallow me up, it was awful."
She joked: "I think nobody can do a Welsh accent I think you are all attempting a Welsh accent."
Kelly had a Welsh accent on the 2000 movie House about a small bingo hall threatened by the opening of the country's biggest bingo centre nearby.
