Line of Duty's Adrian Dunbar is a granddad as songwriter daughter shares pic of new baby

Line of Duty star Adrian Dunbar is a granddad after his daughter gave birth to a 'perfectly cooked' baby girl on Thursday.

Madeleine, 34, who is an actress and songwriter, posted a sweet pic of the tot from her hospital bed.

In one shot the redhead holds her newborn while beaming from ear to ear.

And in another snap Madeleine's fiance Callum Lazenby-Todd kisses the proud mum on her head while still wearing his hospital scrubs.

Captioning her post, she wrote: "Woooooow only just home from the hospital.. (some of you had started to message me to see if I was ok.. thank you.

"We went in on Monday night and Wednesday we did a baby!! ( with no sleep in between!) A perfectly cooked 8lb girly with strong lungs and hyper awareness.

"Thank you to my handsome boy Callum for helping me make a gorgeous girl and thank you for supporting me through this absolute gorey horror story of birth. Only you BB."

Madeleine, who is Adrian's only daughter, broke tradition and proposed to Callum this year - but their romantic moment didn't quite go to plan.

The songwriter, who met her beau on Bumble, got down on one knee outside the Oxo Tower in London to ask Callum to be her husband.

However the momentous move was cut short after police were called on the pair for trespassing on a jetty on the River Thames.

Madeleine chose the spot because it was where she and Callum had shared their first kiss, however she didn't realise it had since been closed off to the public.

She said: "I was really nervous as I’d been waiting on this jetty for an hour. Callum sat down next to me and I got out an Irish Claddagh ring from a jewellery bag.

"But I was down on my knee declaring my love for this man when I heard a security guard shouting at us, telling us we were not supposed to be there and that they were calling the cops."

After being told police were on their way, Madeline and Callum scarpered and the songwriter admitted she broke down with the emotion of it all.

She said: “I just started bawling. I was crying and crying and crying because the moment was spoiled.

“But Callum said, 'Don’t worry. Yes, I will marry you’ and he let me put the ring on his finger.”

Madeleine said she was worried her unorthodox proposal wouldn't go down well with her famous dad, who comes from a "very traditional Irish family'".

However she needn't have worried because the actor was delighted for his daughter, who said: "He had no issue with it.

"He knows me. He knows it’s the kind of thing I do!”
