Line of Duty's Adrian Dunbar drops bombshell on Good Morning Britain leaving Susanna Reid stunned

Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid and Line of Duty fans were left aghast on Monday as actor Adrian Dunbar dropped a bombshell about Sunday night's dramatic cliffhanger, saying many viewers already know how things are going to pan out.

After last Sunday's epic Jo Davidson blood relative ending, which had Adrian's character Ted Hastings exclaiming: "mother of God!" millions tuned into the fifth episode of the new series last night.

And, as well as finding out the identity of Davidson's 'partial' DNA match, those who tuned in were treated to yet another gripping conclusion.

*SPOILER ALERT* Episode 5 ended with when both Ryan Pilkington and Kate Fleming pointing a gun at each other before gun shots sounded out right as credits rolled as DCI Davidson looked on.

The cliffhanger had viewers rushing to Twitter to share their theories, with some speculating Ryan could have been shot twice and others speculating, one shot could have been at him and the other at Jo, from an AC-12 gun.

Adrian appeared on Monday's GMB with anchor Charlotte Hawkins annoyed at her co-hosts Adil Ray and Susanna Reid for 'spoiling' Sunday's Line of Duty for her, by playing the final scene.

Susanna put it to Adrian that "we don't know yet what happens to Kate," and it was his response that had the ears of Line of Duty fans pricking up no end as he told her: "I know and a lot of Line of Duty fans know."

Adil exclaimed: "Oh oh...have they worked it out?" as Susanna questioned: "Do they?!"

Keeping his cards close to his chest, Adrian nodded his head before replying: "A lot of Line of Duty know what's going on," prompting Susanna to say: "Oh no; I feel like you're giving us a heavy piece of information that I can't for the life of me work out."

Teasing her, Adrian then added: "All will be revealed in the fullness of time."

Not giving up on his interrogation, Adil pushed for answers, asking: "are you saying there's been a big clue that we haven't caught on to?" before Adrian, now sitting with his arms folded, cooly responded: "Yes there's been a very big clue...yep."

Some speculative viewers on twitter suggested that said clue came courtesy of the series 6 trailer, with Kate featuring in teaser clips that haven't aired yet, meaning she must survive.
