Line of Duty's Adrian Dunbar and James Nesbitt look totally different in 1990s movie together

Line of Duty stars Adrian Dunbar and James Nesbitt looked worlds away from their characters in a 1990s movie they starred in together.

Adrian, 62, and James, 56, both appeared in the 1991 comedy-drama Hear My Song.

James embraced the full old school look with a dark moustache and big hair while Adrian's barnet was still just as suave albeit a bit darker.

The film follows an owner of a daily club (Adrian) who tells patrons that he booked infamous Irish singer Josef Lock in order to bring more success to his club.

It was written by Adrian - who plays the lead Micky O'Neill - and fellow actor Peter Chelsom.

Other stars in the movie include Game of Throne's Tara Fitzgerald, Ned Beatty, NCIS' David McCallum, and Shirley Anne Field.

Hear My Song was nominated for a BAFTA for Best Original Screenplay and Best Original Score.

It won Best Comedy Film at the British Comedy Awards while Ned Beatty was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globes.

Adrian went on to play Superintendent Ted Hastings in police drama Line of Duty.

James had played as Marcus Thurwell (BBC)

James played Marcus Thurwell, a former Detective Chief Inspector who had links to the Organised Crime Group.

He later retired and moved to Spain, but his body was apparently discovered in a Spanish villa.

However, many believe he faked his death.

Adrian and James may be part of one of the most dramatic series, but they have come a long way from their big old school hairstyle days.
