Line of Duty smashed through its own record last night as 12.8 million people tuned in to watch the series six finale, the highest ratings of a drama since records began.
The episode - which finally saw the identity of 'fourth man' H uncovered - had a 56.2% share in the overnights, meaning the series recorded its highest-ever overnight rating.
And because so many fans tuned in the BBC said the ratings were the highest for any drama since records began in 2002 - excluding soaps.
But fans who missed the broadcast, or anyone hoping to binge-watch all six series, need not worry as they can catch up on the whole police drama on the BBC iPlayer.
Many questions were answered in the series finale, including the identity of the top cop who has been working with the OCG for years.

No one could believe that it was DCI Ian Buckells who'd been pulling the strings all along.
It seems everyone, including the team at AC-12, thought Buckells was nothing more than a "blundering fool".
Revelling in his deception, Buckells shouted during his interrogation: "Yeah right, I'm a blundering fool! I'm only the one who's made total mugs out of you lot."
And his meddling went back decades!
One of the show's stars has even revealed that the cast filmed alternative endings in a bid to keep H's identity a secret until the big reveal on TV.

Tommy Gessop, who plays Terry Boyle, confessed on today's Good Morning Britain that show boss Jed Mercurio kept everyone on set guessing for as long as possible.
Speaking about the moment he found out his character was going to be H, actor Nigel Boyle told BBC Breakfast: "We’d had the first four scripts and started filming some of Series 6 when we had to stop due to the first lockdown.
"When we were about to resume filming, Jed sent me a text saying, ‘Are you free for a chat at some point today? Don’t worry it’s not that call…’. Which I took to mean that I wasn’t going to end up dead!
"But I was still quite nervous and not sure what he wanted to talk to me about.

"He called me and said, ‘the scripts for the next episodes are going to be sent out imminently and so it’s time to tell you the secret that I’ve been keeping, you’re going to be revealed as someone rather significant…’"
Sharing his disbelief that his character was so central to the story, Nigel added: "I was buzzing with excitement! I never suspected it because I know how Jed leads people down the garden path with really good red herrings, so I didn’t really pay too much attention to things like Buckells’ golf clubs etc, but clearly I should have done!
"I’d fully bought into the idea that Buckells was low on competence levels but looking back it all makes sense!"
