Line of Duty finale pays tribute to crew member who died in motorbike accident

The Line of Duty finale took time to pay a touching tribute to one of their crew members who died before the fifth series began filming.

Actor Martin Compston, who plays DS Steve Arnott in the gripping BBC police drama, had urged fans ahead of the last episode to keep watching until after the credits .

As the credits finished a tribute to Graeme Livingstone, who tragically died in a motorbike accident in June 2017, appeared on screens.

The 29-year-old had worked across series three and four of the show in the props department, and was also known for his work on Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders and another BBC show The Fall.

Line of Duty final explained: Everything you need to know

They were able to save Ted Hasting's bacon after they uncovered that he had been framed by police legal counsel, Gill Biggeloe.

She had been sat in on his tense interview the entire time spinning a web of lies that trapped a totally unaware Ted.

Biggeloe was revealed as corrupt, having used her power and influence to pick DS John Corbett specifically for the undercover job on Operation Peartree.

Gill also stole Hasting’s DNA, via his hairbrush when they spent a night together, to plant on Corbett’s body to frame him for murder.

Despite the truth being revealed there is still the question of a remaining H out there.
