Line of Duty finale branded 'boring' and an 'anti-climax' by disappointed viewers

Some Line of Duty fans were disappointed with the finale of series six of the BBC drama branding the conclusion "a joke" and the "worst ending ever".

Viewers expected to see H unveiled, but it turned out that Ian Buckells was the "fourth man". And other that Jo Davidson almost being murdered by the OCG in a prison van there was not much else happening in the hotly-anticipated show finale.

Alford19Jamie wrote: "Very disappointed and deflated with that a lot of hype over what I think was the worst episode of the series @Line_of_duty #LineofDutyFinale"

While @paulyates1973 said: "Line of duty #worstendingever waste of time. Amazing series and a terrible ending."

And Clare on Twitter said: "#LineofDuty It was all because the bloke can’t spell. Nine years of my life. Nine. Years."

Buckells was uncovered in the final episode of this series after Ted Hastings (Adrian Dunbar) asked steadfast Chloe (Shalom Brune-Franklin) to run checks on the misspelling of the word which has become synonymous with Line of Duty – definitely (or, if you spell it like the mysterious fourth man, 'definately').

You can read up on Buckells' Line of Duty history, because he has been hiding in plain sight, here.
