Line of Duty fans spy key clue exposing 'racist' police officer working with Jo Davidson

Line of Duty fans appear to have spotted a key clue which seems to highlight a "racist" police officer working with Jo Davidson.

The drama kicked up a gear last Sunday as Kate Fleming and Ryan Pilkington were locked in a shoot-out - ending on a cliffhanger as fans were left throwing their remotes at the screen.

But a hint that may have gone under the radar during the explosive episode.

Viewers reckon that DS Christopher Lomax, who is a member of MIT, may have been involved in the murder of Lawrence Christopher.

Lawrence had been a black man who was killed in police custody after being attacked by a white youth gang in 2003.

As AC-12 looked into the handling of journalist Gail Vella's murder due to their suspicions of foul play, a photo popped up of the accused gang.

And one face in particular stood out - leading fans to believe that it was Jamie.

Sharing a screen grab of the moment, one pointed out on Twitter : "Seriously has no one else genuinely spotted this? Was the first thing i noticed #LineOfDuty #chrislomax #lawrencechristopher."

Another agreed, writing: "Yep I spotted that too. Although there are a lot of red herrings. So it’s possible that he isn’t a bad guy."

A third joked: "If it is him then the police vetting system needs an overhaul as they seem to miss every family connection and background check on everyone!!"

Meanwhile others were convinced that there was also a young Ian Buckles in the line-up too.

A fan suggested: "Are they just using the actors from the show in the line up in a joking way though? Because the one on the left looks a wee bit like Ian Buckles as well??! Idk if I'm right. Might have John C in there too??!!"

We'll just have to wait and see this Sunday...
