Line Of Duty fans discover adorable meme that Kate Fleming sent to Steve Arnott

Eagle-eyed Line Of Duty fans have identified the meme that Kate Fleming sent to Steve Arnott after a screen sharing their text conversation was flashed in last night's show.

It was during tense scenes in Sunday's show that Steve had arranged to meet up with Kate in a car park, quickly texting her beforehand.

In the cute exchange, it appears that Kate (Vicky McLure) sent Steve (Martin Compston) an image of a dog in a shirt and tie sat next to a black alarm clock.

The conversation from Kate then read: "Reminded me of you," alongside a laughing emoji.

"Lol very funny," Steve replies.

The police officer then goes on to ask her colleague whether he's received any further news on Ryan Pilkington.

The end of the text conversation shows Martin writing a text to Kate in which he says that he needs to talk to her.

The pair then meet up in a car park to discuss the recent goings-on.

Fans of the show were quick to praise the online super sleuth for uncovering the meme that was used in the messages.

"You should take over from gaffer!" joked one fan.

"Mother of God! Did ye float down the Lagan in a bubble? The OCG will be after you now. You know too much!" wrote another.

A third wrote: "I paused it for investigation and my wife told me it was nothing but you have shown me that it was in fact EVERYTHING"

By now, fans of the BBC show are used to expecting the unexpected and looking out for a host of clues that appear in every episode.

Although at this point, it is unclear whether the adorable dog meme has any underlying significance in the storyline.

It comes amid yet another nail-biting episode of Line Of Duty that left viewers gripped after a tense standoff between Kate Fleming and dodgy cop Ryan Pilkington (Gregory Piper) resulted in two shots being fired.

Fortunately, Kate did text Steve just beforehand who was able to alert AC-12, but do they have enough time?
