Line of Duty fans convinced Hastings is 'H' after big clue – but some remain unsure

Line of Duty viewers were left convinced they knew the truth about whether Ted Hastings was the mystery corrupt officer ‘H’.

In the latest episode of the BBC drama, AC-12 took matters into their own hands as they vowed to bring down an organised crime group.

After a recent raid on a printing services shop, the group were using to hide their dodgy dealings and communications with the corrupt officer, things took a huge turn.

In the latest episode after scanning a device retrieved from the raid, Amanda Yao and officer Tatleen Sohota told colleagues Arnott and Fleming they’d had a breakthrough.

Ted Hastings has faced speculation he is 'H' on Line of Duty (BBC)

After finding a device likely to be used to communicate with the higher level of the organised crime group, they were unable to access conversations already made because of an encryption.

But they were able to analyse meta data retrieved from a mobile account being used at the printing services, which led them to trace a user likely on the other end.

The data also meant that they would be able to impose as the mystery account holder, and have a conversation with those on the other end while undetected.

Once this was set up, Amanda initiated the conversation with the users on the other end, which were none other than John and Lisa.

Hastings wasn’t impressed with her technique though, taking over before telling them: “We pulled off the biggest robbery in years,” and how he had a “plan” to get the goods out of the country that were stolen from the recent robbery at the Eastfield depot.

Seemingly convincing Lisa and John he was part of organised crime, he then said how he “could pull the right strings” and get help from their “friends in blue” meaning bent coppers.

Viewers are still guessing the real identity of 'H' (BBC)

But it was his misspelling of the word "definitely" as "definately", which happened in a recent message shown to viewers, that has raised more suspicions.

Taking to Twitter , one fan said: "So, Hastings' spelling of definitely... Is he H?"

Another said: "I DEFINATELY think Hastings is H now!!"

Meanwhile, others were not so convinced with one fan tweeting: "Ted definately spelt definitely wrong again didn’t he? But still don’t think he’s H."

Another agreed: "Blatantly a red herring. If Hastings is actually H then it’s the end of #LineOfDuty."
