Line of Duty fans were promised a good episode and it certainly delivered on Sunday night.
Episode four of the BBC One cop drama played out on screens last night in which the first major police shootout of series six took place.
And there were more twists and turns as criminal lawyer turned convicted criminal James Lakewell returned and PC Ryan Pilkington's dangerous side reemerged with a threat to the MIT's boss Jo Davidson.
But it wouldn't be a Line of Duty episode without it being left on a major cliffhanger - so much so viewers were all pretty much doing the same thing as the credits rolled on the latest episode.
Without giving too much away, the dramatic episode ended with AC-12's DI Steve Arnott and new recruit DC Chloe Bishop presenting Superintendent Ted Hastings with a file proving a DNA link between Davidson and another person who obviously hadn't been revealed.
All we saw was Ted pulling a piece of paper from a file with Davidson's face pictured and another who was expertly covered.
So, what did fans do? Get up close and personal with their TV to try a sneak a look.
It started with one viewer tweeting: "Everyone in the UK right now #LineOfDuty," alongside a photo of someone close to their TV screens inspecting AC-12's documents on-screen.
And they weren't the only ones.
"Pausing the tele to see who's on the page #LineOfDuty," tweeted one.
Another said: "If AC-12 need another police officer, my mum is free and very good at detective work #LineOfDuty," alongside a picture of said mum almost upside down in front of her TV.
"Coming to Twitter after Line Of Duty to see if anyone got more information from rewinding and pausing the TV #LineOfDuty," a third joked.
Even BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker got involved, tweeting: "Everyone screen-shoting #LineOfDuty after that belter of an episode."
