Line of Duty fan films 'fuming' Alexa's response after finale as H identity uncovered

The anticlimactic Line of Duty final has not only angered fans, but digital assistants as well.

Amazon’s Alexa is just as fuming as many fans are following the airing of the season six final of the hit BBC police drama on Sunday night.

Following nine years of mystery, viewers finally discovered the identity of the elusive “H” – with Nigel Boyle’s DI Ian Buckells finally unmasked as the mole working within the force.

Many viewers expressed disbelief that the bumbling member of the AC-12 team could be the mastermind villain sharing information to criminals.

However, many fans discovered that their home smart speaker virtual assistants were also stunned to realise who “H” really was.

Taking to instagram, many Line of Duty fans demonstrated what happened when they asked Alexa: “Who is H?”

Videos show the smart speaker lighting up and answering: “Mother of God!

“Is it really true that that blundering fool Buckells has made mugs out of us all?”

One Twitter user who shared their Alexa’s reaction tweeted: “Even Alexa is fuming.”

While another commented: “Alexa if anything is not a snitch.”

Viewers were stunned to see Buckells pulled into the AC-12 interrogation room during the season six final on Sunday night.

While answering many of the questions fired at him with a cold “no comment”, the character did expose himself as someone who had managed to pull strings to suit his own desires when he did give some answers to questions.

The team realised he was H and that he had been using his position within the force to share information with criminals and to line his own pockets in the process.

It is as yet unclear if Line of Duty will return for a seventh season as the BBC is yet to renew the show – while some fans feel the latest season left some questions unanswered.
