Line of Duty dedicated finale to much-loved Bangor crew member Graeme Livingstone

Line of Duty dedicated its finale to a much-loved Co Down crew member.

Graeme Livingstone, 29, passed away after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a car the Saintfield Road Lisburn in June 2017.

Mr Livingstone, who was originally from Bangor, was well-known in the TV and film business in Northern Ireland and had worked as a crew member on game of Thrones, The Fall and Line of Duty, Belfast Live reports.

On Sunday night, cast members urged viewers to stayed tuned in to see that the episode was dedicated in memory of Mr Livingstone.

Scottish actor Martin Compston, who plays  Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott  in the hit BBC show, tweeted ahead of the show: "Hey folks hopefully if your jaws are back up from the floor in time, there’s a little something at the very end of the show which means a lot to the whole Line of Duty family, much appreciated if you could stay tuned for it."

He later shared the In Memory of Graeme Livingstone 1987-2017 screenshot along with a heart and added: "Behind every good cast there’s a phenomenal crew. To make this show really is a team effort. One important face missing from that top picture though. Graeme Livingstone gone but never forgotten, not just to us but the industry across Northern Ireland."

Co-star Vicky McClure, who plays Detective Inspector Kate Fleming, added: "Huge thank you to the LOD family for making this such a special series! And to everyone of you that tuned in! Graeme who worked in our props dept will always be in our hearts, we miss him dearly. There is no one who writes like Jed Mercurio we are extremely lucky."

Mr Livingstone was described by friends as an "absolute gentleman" and "one of the nicest guys you could meet."

At the time of his death, The Extras Department said: "This morning we learnt of the passing of a dear friend and a wonderful happy man.

"Many of our extras will have met Graeme Livingstone on set over the years, as an extra, then as an AD and in props.

"I know you will join us in sending your deepest condolences to his family and friends in this difficult time. Always in our hearts. RIP Graeme. Taken from this world far to soon."
