Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio shares hilarious clip that goes down a storm on Twitter

The waiting for Series Six of Line of Duty is nearly over, as the gripping drama gets set to hit our screens again on Sunday night.

And ahead of the much-anticipated first episode, the show's creator Jed Mercurio has shared an absolutely hilarious clip of the main stars Adrian Dunbar, Vicky McClure and Martin Compston.

Alongside the brilliant video, he simply tweeted: "In #LineofDuty6 AC-12 investigate some highly suspicious movement..."

It comes as fans of the programme eagerly await the beginning of Series Six tomorrow evening.

The show, which has become a break-out success ever since it began in 2014, follows a unit of anti-corruption police officers who investigate their own.

The unit, AC-12, is run by Superintendent Hastings, played by Fermanagh man Adrian Dunbar.

The BBC have confirmed that there will be seven episodes of Line of Duty and that they will be aired at 9pm every Sunday from March 21, without break.

So here's when each episode of the new series will officially air:

Episode 1 - March 21

Episode 2 - March 28

Episode 3 - April 4

Episode 4 - April 11

Episode 5 - April 18

Episode 6 - April 25

Episode 7 - May 2
