Line of Duty cast pays tribute to West Belfast community

After a day of filming for the new series of Line of Duty, the cast have thanked locals for their warm welcome.

Stars of the show Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar were in Beechmount on Monday taking part in some dramatic scene for series six.

In a letter to Beechmount Residents Collective, the crew offered their thanks.

It read: "The cast and crew of Line of Duty would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to your group and the residents of Beechmount Parade and surrounding area.

"Without the Beechmount Residents Collective BRC'S assistance, coordination and support, our filming could not have run so smoothly.

"Your team were essential on the day and we hope to work with you again, in the future. Today, the crew are speaking of the residents, every department singing the praise of this supportive community.

"The camera department even stated that this was their best experience, filming in a public area. Without the support of the public, our industry could not grow, offering job opportunities and growing this industry.

"The Beechmount residents had a chance to show the spirit of West Belfast and did it with flying colours.

"So, from the Locations Department, we are truly grateful and indebted to you all. From Line of Duty Locations Team."

The first five series of Line Of Duty are available to watch on BBC iPlayer. Series six is now due to air on BBC One next year
