'Line of creepy men wearing white cloaks' in abandoned town spotted on Google Earth

A user of the social media platform TikTok has noticed some "creepy men" in a deserted ghost town while browsing Google Earth.

Jason Cline noticed the white-cloaked figures in the derelict city of Rhyolite in Nevada, according to The Mirror.

In the video, which was shared on TikTok and has been viewed more than 17 million times, Cline issues a warning to viewers that they are about to see some 'really weird things'.

As he talks video viewers through his Google Earth search, he states: "You're gonna go down to the desert, just like this.

"Zoom in right here and once you get all the way down, you are going to find a circular object that kind of looks like a thumbprint", he continues.

Some TikTok users revealed the figures are part of an art exhibition (TikTok/Jason Cline)

He adds: "What you are about to see, I cannot explain and I do not understand, I am literally thinking that I don't supposed to see this."

He then clicks on the Street View feature and an abandoned house can be seen.

Not far from the property there is a "creepy man in all-white" looking at a bicycle, the TikTok user shows.

Cline then says: "But that's not just it, if you flip it around – there's a whole lot of them in a circle doing some sort of weird ceremony."

A person who saw the video said: "How the heck did you manage to find these type of things?"

Another added: "This is scary because I don't live to far from there."

But the mystery was quickly solved when some users explained the figures are part of an art installation in the town.

A viewer said the group of "creepy men" was known as "Last Supper" created by Belgian artist Albert Szukalski.

The exhibition - named Goldwell Open Air Museum - is just off the road leading to Death Valley, California.

Rhyolite was a mining town at the start of the 20th century, but by the 1920s it was deserted and has now become a popular tourist attraction.

A review of the art exhibition on TripAdvisor reads: "It's free, it's on the way to Rhyolite. The artwork is unique and fascinating. Well worth stopping in to see."

Another one says: "We stopped here on our way to Death Valley.

"It's definitely a must-do just for the photo ops and history. Such a unique and quirky place."
