Lindt set to launch range of vegan chocolate bars later this year

Lindt is set to launch its first range of fully vegan products with a new range of chocolate bars.

The firm behind the tasty Lindor truffle balls will be producing three different flavoured chocolate bars in November.

Hazelnut, cookie and salted caramel flavours will all be made using oat milk instead of the usual dairy offering.

Not only are the bars themselves vegan, but they will all be wrapped in eco-friendly packaging.

Scotland will sadly miss out on the first roll out of the plant-based chocolates as they will only be available in Germany to begin with.

But it is suggested that they could potentially be on sale globally if the reaction is considered positive enough.

There is a range of Lindt alternatives available for those vegans who can’t wait that long.

An FAQ section on the Lindt website points out that it has some other products that are suitable for vegans, such as its dark chocolate bars.

An answer on its website reads: “Some of our product are made without any animal products, such as our Lindt Excellence range with 70%, 85%, 90% and 99% cocoa dark chocolate bars.”
