Lindsey Graham’s sister vows to carry on late senator’s work

  • Sen. Lindsey Graham 's sister, Darline Graham Nordone, pledged to "support the president" in Congress after President Donald Trump suggested she complete her late brother's Senate term.
  • "It is such a privilege to get to finish some of his important work," Graham Nordone said, adding that she would "work hard over the next several months to support the president" and continue her brother's efforts on behalf of South Carolina and the U.S.
  • Key figures, including Senator Tim Scott, Rep. Nancy Mace, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, have endorsed Trump's recommendation.
  • Darline Graham Nordone, who was raised by her brother, currently serves as director of public information at the South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department.
  • She will serve until January 2027, when the winner of the November Senate election will take office.
