The film is helmed by director Janeen Damian, who previously worked with Lohan on Falling for Christmas. The latter film followed Lohan's character, a newly engaged hotel heiress suffering from amnesia after a skiing accident, as she finds unexpected romance, played by Chord Overstreet. Now, Irish Wish brings together an ensemble cast including Ed Speleers, Alexander Vlahos, Ayesha Curry, Elizabeth Tan, Jacinta Mulcahy, and Jane Seymour.
Irish Wish is the first of two movies Lohan is making with Netflix as part of a two-picture deal, the second of which is already in production.
