Lindsay Lohan sparks dating rumours with cryptic post hinting at her 'boyfriend'

Lindsay Lohan has sparked dating rumours after writing an extremely telling caption on a pic she posted to her Instagram page on Thursday, where she mentioned "my boyfriend".

In the picture Lindsay is standing in a group of people, between Bastille drummer Chris “Woody” Wood, and an unidentified man in a black jacket and bright red trainers. Lindsay's sister Aliana and Bastille lead singer Dan Smith are also in the photo.

The pic was taken backstage at a music festival in Dubai, and according to People, the Mean Girls star, 33, wrote “@aliana lovely night with sister and my boyfriend bader️" with a love heart emoji next to the name 'bader', before deleting her words.

She added to the post in which she is seen grinning: “such a magical night.”

The man she refers to in the pic looks to be Badas Shammas, who, even though she didn't tag, she is following on the site. However, his page is set to private.

Despite Lindsay deleting the revealing caption fans were quick to speculate about her apparent new man.

When one fan asked Lindsay to point out which one was her rumoured boyfriend from the photo, another replied, “the guy with the black jacked [sic].”

Fans of Lindsay's hit film Mean Girls were rejoicing last month when the film's writer Tina Fey announced there was going to be a brand new movie release of the Broadway musical.

The original 2004 film was turned into a musical and is now returning as a movie musical.

Producers of the Broadway show announced the feel-good musical movie will hit the big screen with Paramount Pictures, 15 years after it first hit theatres.

According to E News, Fey wrote the script for the upcoming musical film and she will produce alongside Lorne Michaels.

Speaking to the publication, Tina said: "I'm very excited to bring Mean Girls back to the big screen.

Mirror Online contacted Lindsay representative for further comment.
