Lindsay Davenport serves up Laguna Beach home for $3.25 million

June 23--Former top-ranked women's tennis player Lindsay Davenport has put her home in Laguna Beach on the market for $3.25 million.

The single-story home on a corner lot in Emerald Bay has a center-island kitchen, formal living and dining rooms, three bedrooms and two bathrooms in 2,134 square feet. Among interior details are beamed cathedral-style ceilings, hardwood floors and a brick fireplace.

Sliding glass doors open to a tiled patio, an expanse of grass and a brick fountain feature. Another fountain marks the entrance to the home, built in 1956.

A half-mile beach, a swimming pool, a private park and tennis and volleyball courts are among the amenities available to residents of the guard-gated community.

Davenport, who owns other property in the area, bought the house in 2000 for $1.305 million, records show. The home is also listed for lease at $8,000 a month.

Harold Noriega of HOM Sotheby's International Realty is the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

Davenport, 39, is a former Women's Tennis Assn. No. 1-ranked singles player. The Southern California native has won six Grand Slam titles for her career as well as winning gold in the women's singles event at the 1996 Summer Olympics.

She currently coaches 21st-ranked singles tennis player Madison Keys.
