Lindoso goal gives Botafogo 1-0 win over Corinthians

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - A first-half goal from Rodrigo Lindoso gave Botafogo a 1-0 win over Corinthians in Brazil's Serie A on Sunday.

Lindoso appeared to get a touch on an inswinging corner after 27 minutes, giving the home side three points to ease their relegation worries.

The result lifts the Rio club to 13th place with 38 points in the 20-team Serie A, four points above the relegation zone with six games remaining.

Corinthians are on 39 points and in 11th spot.
