Linda Robson breaks down as she reveals reason she took time off Loose Women

Loose Women saw the return of Linda Robson today, who revealed why she had taken a break from the show for the last 18 months.

Linda, 61, broke down as she admitted that she had been struggling with anxiety, depression and OCD.

The actress told her fellow panelists that she ‘had a meltdown’ after reacting badly to a prescribed tablet.

Linda revealed she had been suffering with anxiety and OCD (ITV)

She said: "I came off the wine, and upped tablets to sleep, so I went to see someone and they gave me something else – and I won't name it – but it gave me bad anxiety and depression, and my OCD kicked into overdrive.

“Everything needed to be spotless.

“I was like a mad woman cleaning every day. At one point I was having four baths a day, I was washing my bedding every day.

“People joke when they hear someone talking about OCD, but it's not actually a joke, it took over my life.”

The actress was comforted by her Loose Women co-stars (ITV)

Her co-stars admitted that they feared Linda had dementia after she lost weight and acted like the 'dimmer switch had been turned down’.

During a holiday to Ibiza, Stacey Solomon admits that she noticed Linda’s OCD after sharing a room with her.

She said: “Watching you I remember you that your phone had to be charged 100 per cent and every two minutes you looked at your phone and if it was on 99, you would go straight to the charger point and turn it on.

After Linda went for treatment, she was diagnosed with OCD and revealed that Stacey went to some appointments with her.
