Linda Nolan’s stepson Lloyd Hudson is reported to have died from throat cancer just months after her death.
The pop star died aged 65 in January after contracting double pneumonia following lengthy battles with breast and brain cancer.
Hudson - the son of Nolan’s late husband Brian Hudson - was diagnosed with cancer in 2023 and died on Tuesday, according to reports.
The pair fought their cancer battles together and Nolan had hoped that Hudson would “outlive her”.
“They were fighting side by side, Linda would finish her treatment and text him to check in,” a close friend told the Sun.
“They joked about their meds, shared their side effects, cried together too. Linda really thought he’d outlive her. She needed that belief.”

Hudson’s tumour was reportedly so large and close to his vocal cords that doctors didn’t operate on it when he was diagnosed in September 2023.
He began radiotherapy and was closely supported by Nolan, who was undergoing her own immunotherapy treatment for secondary breast cancer which had spread to her brain.
In April 2024, the singer was reportedly hopeful as scans showed that Hudson’s throat cancer appeared to have cleared.
A friend said told The Sun: “Linda was absolutely over the moon. She kept saying, ‘I’ll be the one to go, but he’s going to be fine.’ She clung to that.”
However, as Nolan was told her brain tumours were returning, Hudson was also told his cancer had spread to his lungs and was incurable.
A person saying they were Hudson’s cousin shared an emotional tribute to him on social media, revealing her “heart is shattered”.
“I hope you were welcomed by your Pops and Aunty Lin and you are no longer suffering. The injustice of you being SO insightful recently and having so many years ripped away from you is the part that is destroying me more than anything,” she wrote.
“I have been sat here crying hoping this was all a really bad nightmare.. but as time goes by the reality is becoming clearer and it’s really swept my legs from under me. I love you forever and always Lloyd. And I will miss you beyond any words I have in my vocabulary.”

She added that cancer has “ripped my family apart” in the past few months and she is “done with being positive”.
Nolan revealed last August that Hudson had been diagnosed with cancer,
“We have had a rough time with it, and my stepson Lloyd has just been diagnosed and it’s like ‘go away, leave us alone,’” she said on Good Morning Britain.
Nolan’s husband, Brian Hudson, died of cancer in 2007.
