A Glasgow restaurant is paying homage to one of the most legendary bands of all time.
Finnieston favourite Rioja will be raising a glass to the Linda McCartney photography retrospective at Kelvingrove, with a special edition Beatles-inspired cocktail series.
The authentic Spanish eatery and cocktail bar is serving up to celebrate the iconic pictures and moments of music that Linda shot of The Beatles in the 1960s, some of which are on display in Glasgow right now.
Created by talented Rioja bartender Maria Blagoeva, the Cocktail Collection Vol 2 gives a nod to The Linda McCartney Retrospective, curated by Paul, Mary and Stella McCartney.
Themed colourful drinks being served up at the Argyle Street venue include The Cava’rn Club - a play on where The Beatles were famously discovered in Liverpool by Brian Epstein. This a sweet long sip with Hendrick’s gin, muddled with cucumber, elderflower, and fresh basil topped with Spanish cava.
Meanwhile Let Ice Tea is perfect for the sunshine with the spicy citrus flavour of Licor 43, refreshing pineapple, Grey Goose vodka, golden turmeric, and topped with fresh orange, lemon and soda.
Or if you’re looking for an indulgent treat, order the Insta-worthy She Loves You for a guaranteed smile. Finished with gold leaf, this drink is a gorgeous fuschia pink colour and has a floral and zesty flavour from crème de Pamplemousse rose and rose water.
Daring drink fans should try the Lennon-ade in honour of the original innovator - John Lennon -which is a long smooth drink with beetroot syrup, Bulleit Rye, apple juice and barley.

This, combined with her love of Scotland and Glasgow, made us want to mark the exhibition arrival at Rioja with interesting drinks, a bit like her shooting style. We hope Paul and Stella love our tribute and stop by for a sip!”
