Linda Lusardi 'wanted to die' from coronavirus as she opens up on 'excruciating' pain

Linda Lusardi has opened up about her coronavirus battle, and reportedly said it was so painful that she "wanted to die".

The Page 3 model, 61, is now recovering at home after spending ten days in hospital fighting the deadly bug.

The former glamour model and her husband Sam Kane both contracted the killer virus before she was rushed into hospital.

Speaking about the extremely painful experience, Linda explained that the virus had her and showbiz agent Sam "praying" they wouldn't wake up.

She told The Sun : "It got to the stage where both of us were praying we wouldn't wake up because it was so bad."

While Sam, 51, said: "We just looked at each other and said, 'Look, we can't take this anymore'."

He added: "It was horrific. It was like the devil's hands were strangling me and holding me down and laughing in my face."

The actor went on to describe it as the "deepest, darkest place" that the pair have ever been.

"We just thought that if we don't wake up, it's not the end of the world," he shared.

Linda's husband thought he had picked up the virus first during a business meeting, and passed it onto his wife, according to the news outlet.

Sam's meeting came before the government introduced strict social distancing measures.

"I started to get a fever, feeling rough and carried on, but it got worse and worse," Linda said about catching the bug.

She admitted it "feels like an elephant is sitting on you" and there's pain coming from the head.

The star also said that her "vomit was blue" and she was repeatedly being sick into a bucket over the edge of the bed.

However the pair were saved by their son Jack, 20, who called 999.

They were taken straight to North Middlesex hospital in the same ambulance, but Linda revealed she didn't think she'd make it.

She said she felt herself "drifting away", as she thought, 'This is it'."

Linda and Sam were then tested positive for the virus.

Thankfully, she was let out of hospital at the end of March.
