Lincoln fans tell Bolton Wanderers what to expect from Zack Elbouzedi following loan transfer

Bolton Wanderers appear to have pulled off a coup by signing Zack Elbouzedi.

That's according to fans of his parent club, Lincoln City, some of whom seem gutted that their club have let the winger leave to join the Whites on loan for the rest of the season.

Bolton announced a double signing ahead of their League Two encounter with Cheltenham Town on Saturday, with teenage Huddersfield left-back Ben Jackson also moving to the University of Bolton Stadium for the remainder of the campaign.

Elbouzedi, 22, has only managed six appearances for the Imps this season but has still managed to grab two goals and two assists in League One.

Wanderers boss Ian Evatt is excited about the qualities the Irishman could bring to his struggling side.

“Zack is a player who I have monitored for a good length of time," he said. "Lincoln are currently flying at the moment and have some very good players in his position.

"As a result of their form, Zack has struggled for game time. He’s a player with electric pace, is a match winner and gives us more options in the forward area of the pitch."

Lincoln fans have echoed Evatt's praise for the player, with some wondering why the club would let such a talented attacker leave. They have let Bolton supporters know what to expect from Elbouzedi, pointing out his frightening pace.

On joining Bolton, Elbouzedi said: “Everybody knows the size of this club and I’m delighted to be here. Hopefully, I can come here, play some games and help the club to progress.

”I’m 22 now and I just want to play regular football. I’m really eager to get going for Bolton Wanderers.”
