Lincoln City send funny apology to on-loan Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker

Lincoln City have made a funny apology to on-loan Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker.

The 22-year-old is spending the season on loan at Sincil Bank from Forest, and netted Lincoln’s equaliser in the closing stages of Tuesday’s League One clash against Rochdale to earn a 1-1 draw.

After Walker scored the goal, Lincoln sent out a tweet but used a GIF saying that it was Harry Toffolo who found the back of the net.

The club eventually corrected the error to post a GIF featuring Walker, and they have now sent a hilarious apology to the on-loan Forest frontman.

Accompanied by a message, Lincoln tweeted a montage video featuring Walker’s goal, the original incorrect tweet, and a series of clips making fun of the confusion.

“Well done, Lincoln City admin... Please accept our apology, @tylerjandrew1,” Lincoln tweeted.

Walker, seeing the funny side of the situation, quoted the tweet to reply “apology accepted”.

Walker’s strike in midweek took his goal tally up to five in 11 appearances in all competitions since his move from the City Ground in the summer.
