Lin-Manuel Miranda to be first guest on Hamilton star Giles Terera's new live-streamed show for drama students

Who would your dream drama teachers be? We think the writer and star of one of the world’s biggest musicals would do.

Hamilton original West End cast member Giles Terera will be joined by creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, in a brand new online chat show.

While Giles Terera Meets… is aimed at Mountview drama school students, the free live-streamed show will be on YouTube for all to see on May 11.

Terera won an Olivier Award for best actor in a musical when he starred as Aaron Burr in the original London cast of the Miranda’s show. The musical itself has won countless awards, and Miranda is an Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-winning actor and composer.

The show will see the pair discuss this career, which also includes, Moana, Mary Poppins, In The Heights and its film counterpart, which has now been rescheduled for a release in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Further episodes of Terera’s show will see him joined by Harry Potter and the Cursed Child star Noma Dumezweni and Mountview alumna Amanda Holden.

Terera, who also studied at Mountview said: “Helping young artists is really important to me, and this is a fantastic opportunity for the next generation of theatre makers to learn from established figures within the industry.”

Giles Terera Meets... Lin-Manuel Miranda will live-stream at 6pm on Monday May 11, youtube.com
