Lin-Manuel Miranda, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, more join Biden inauguration special

Joe Biden’s inauguration special gets more star-studded by the day.

The TV special, replacing the president-elect’s inauguration night balls, added a who’s who of celebrities to the prime-time program Sunday, including “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who will “recite a classic work,” according to the inauguration committee.

NBA icon Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, chef José Andrés, founder of World Central Kitchen, Kim Ng, the first woman MLB general manager and Dolores Huerta, the labor leader who co-founded the United Farm Workers, have also joined the program.

Tom Hanks will host the primetime event, titled “Celebrating America,” Wednesday to “showcase the American people’s resilience, heroism, and unified commitment to coming together as a nation to heal and rebuild,” according to the inauguration committee.

Scheduled performers include Jon Bon Jovi, Ant Clemons, Foo Fighters, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Bruce Springsteen and Justin Timberlake.

Kerry Washington and Eva Longoria will introduce segments throughout the night.
