(Picture: Getty/Fred Durst)In the 90s and early 2000s, you couldn’t switch on MTV or any other music channel for more than 10 minutes without seeing an image of Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst with his trademark goatee, bleached blonde hair and backwards baseball cap.
The frontman of the nu-metal group might, who once sang ‘Rollin’ and ‘Break Stuff’ have been an acquired taste for some but there was no doubt that he was instantly recognisable. But we grow old and our style and looks change and Durst, who is now 50, is no different to the rest of us, as proven by his haircut and facial hair which he revealed on Instagram on Wednesday.
Durst’s new grey combover, handlebar moustache and ironed shirt is far cry from his days of wearing baggy t-shirts and even baggier jeans but hey, we could all do with trying something new.
Durst has even deleted every previous post on his Instagram account and cryptically captioned the picture with ‘thinking about you 70’ as well as a UFO emoji. One baffled fan responded with “I thought Richard Gere popped up from outta nowhere,” to which Durst replied: “close.”
Needless to say, people are a little baffled by this development and have responded accordingly with some even comparing his new look to Julian Assange.
