Limo bursts into flames on Scots street as fire crews scramble to scene

A limousine has been destroyed after bursting into flames on a street in Dunfermline.

Shocking pictures show fierce flames leaping from the engine of the stricken vehicle on Friday afternoon.

No injuries have been reported (Fife Jammer Locations)

Emergency services were called to the scene on Bridge Street at around 1.57pm as thick black smoke billowed into the air.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent one appliance to assist but brave passersby had helped extinguish the blaze before they arrived.

No injuries have been reported.

The fire thankfully did not spread to several cars parked nearby or to a second limo which arrived a short time after the blaze broke out.

Fire crews have since left the area.
