Limmy shares 'f*****g brilliant' Google reviews of Yoker barbers from Dee Dee sketch on Twitter

A visitor searching for a barbers in Glasgow has shared a hilarious find on Google Maps – and Limmy said it was "f*****g brilliant."

@HJWingfield, who is travelling to the city from Wales, shared screenshots of the fictional barbers shop 'Hair By Les Porter' from the comedian's famous Yoker sketch, which sees spaced-out Dee Dee get the bus to an area he described as the "outer reaches" and "the "great unknown."

He wrote: "I just wanted to find a good barber as I'm making a trip to Glasgow tomorrow and I get trolled by Google Maps @DaftLimmy."

The screenshots show people went to the bother of leaving reviews for the barber shop with references to the show.

One read "scary, but the best day o' my life" while another wrote "great place – only question is has his name always rhymed wi Yoker or did it used ti be like Smith or something?"

Someone replied: "They’d start chucking the scissors at you in there like ninja stars" and another follower added: "pretty sure that guy changed his name to fit in."

Limmy's Show might be finished, but Dee Dee has left a lasting impression: Skateboards featuring "one of the greatest comedy characters of all time" made by Edinburgh-based skate shop Focus Scotland were a sell-out success last Christmas.

Costing £45, 100% of the profits from the sales of the boards went to Glasgow North West Foodbank, which covers the Yoker area. You can still get merch from the online shop here.
