Tickets for the Anzac Day dawn service and national ceremony at Canberra's Australian War Memorial are available for free online from Monday.

But numbers are limited at the two events in line with COVID restrictions.

Anyone who wants to go must secure a free ticket via the memorial's website.- www.awm.gov.au - from 10am Monday.

Only ticket holders will be allowed inside the memorial's fenced parade ground, with the dawn service limited to 4200, and the national ceremony to 3000.

Both ceremonies will also broadcast live, and the memorial has developed resources to ensure people who can't attend can mark the day from home.

"We are thankful for the opportunity to welcome more than 7000 veterans, current defence force personnel, dignitaries and community members across both ceremonies in the midst of a global pandemic," memorial Director Matt Anderson said.

At the completion of official events on Sunday, April 25, the memorial will open to the public as usual.
