LIMF has revealed that Nile Rodgers will headline the summer festival this year, alongside his band CHIC.
The multi-award winning artists will join De La Soul, SIGMA and Disco Classical with special guest Sister Sledge on the lineup.
CHIC and Nile Rodgers are known for chart-topping hits such as Le Freak, Everybody Dance and I Want Your Love and audiences at LIMF should expect to hear a selection of the smash hits.
The festival will take place in Sefton Park, from Saturday, July 20 to Sunday, July 21.
Speaking ahead about the exciting announcement, Nile Rodgers said: "Liverpool has been the site of some of my greatest moments as an artist from our triumphant concerts there, where we are made to feel like we are from Anfield or Old Swan to being honoured by Sir Paul McCartney at LIPA."
LIMF tickets start at £11 a day for general admission and £26 for VIP.
