Limerick
Nicky Quaid - Kept a clean sheet, strong under the high ball and excellent distribution overall. 8
Sean Finn - On a booking from early on but held his nerve and showed up well. 7
Dan Morrissey - Typically solid in the last line of Limerick’s defence again. 7
Barry Nash - Limerick’s loose man, got into the game with a terrific early catch. 7
Diarmaid Byrnes - Cleared a tonne of ball and scored two points, one a monster from long range, 8
Declan Hannon - Used all his experience to control the Limerick defence. Scored a nice point too. 7
Kyle Hayes - Started slowly but powered into the game with his hard running and was a key figure overall. 8
Darragh O’Donovan - Broke about even in the engine room and was hauled off at the three quarter point. 7
William O’Donoghue - Another tireless worker for Limerick who lasted the duration.
Gearoid Hegarty - Lucky to avoid a booking for striking Joe Canning but excellent overall, hitting 0-4. 8
Cian Lynch - Came into the game in a big way in the second-half and scored 0-2. 8
Tom Morrissey - Struck Limerick’s opening point and never let up, finishing with 0-6. Inspirational. 9
Aaron Gillane - Lucky his silly flick at Eanna Murphy wasn’t spotted. Scored 0-6 and has more to offer. 7
Seamus Flanagan - Scored 0-2 and troubled the Galway defence with his power and skill set. 7
Graeme Mulcahy - The first player to be taken off but will surely still start the final. 7

Galway
Eanna Murphy - Started poorly with a number of misplaced puck-outs and never inspired confidence. 6
Aidan Harte - Did his best overall but coughed up possession for an important late Limerick point. 7
Daithi Burke - Dished out some big hits but not as dominant as he was against Tipperary. 7
Shane Cooney - Booked early on, went to midfield at half-time and eventually taken off. 6
Sean Loftus - A late addition to the Galway defence and battled well. Cynical hurley pull late on. 6
Gearoid McInerney - Crumpled Aaron Gillane with a second-half shoulder but generally under pressure. 6
Joseph Cooney - Moved into the attack after Fintan Burke’s introduction at half-time, so-so overall. 6
Padraic Mannion - Patrolled the space as Galway’s sweeper but didn’t get on a whole pile of ball. 6
Johnny Coen - Put in a big shift of hard running and won some useful possessions. 7
Joe Canning - Fired 0-14 and converted four line balls but eventually taken off after a blow to the head. 8
Cathal Mannion - Started well and scored but pulled up with a 23rd minute hamstring injury. 7
David Burke - Wore number 12 but reverted to midfield. Didn’t sparkle and was subbed. 6
Brian Concannon - Had a great first-half and scored 0-3 but faded out and didn’t score again. 7
Conor Cooney - Nothing came off for the big man who was eventually replaced. 6
Conor Whelan - Couldn’t be faulted for effort and scored 0-3. A tireless worker. 8
