A Limerick rapper who created the Garda tracksuit has unveiled a new female and navy outfit.
Mason Roche, whose stage name is MXSE, came up with the idea during the Take Back The City protest in Dublin last year.
He went viral in February after releasing the images of the white tracksuit. And the young rapper is back in the spotlight again with new versions of the Garda tracksuit.
Mason has played at college RAG week events in the original strip, and is lining up appearances at festivals this summer.
He told the Irish Mirror: "I think I first conceived the idea when the Gardai were getting publicity for wearing balaclavas during the 'Take back the City' housing crisis protest in Dublin.

"I then started thinking of hybrids between the law, and the people their trying to bust, usually wearing tracksuits and hoodies.
"The goal of this project is to primarily promote my music and secondarily to have a laugh and give everyone a smile."
Although he hasn't been officially contacted by An Garda Siochana, he said he'd often have a laugh and chat with officers when passing through Limerick city.

A garda spokeswoman told the Irish Mirror: "In general, the Garda crest is copyrighted and any use of it requires the formal permission of An Garda Síochána."
Seeing as Mason doesn't use the garda crest or the 'An Garda Siochana' on the tracksuit, we could see them going on sale in the future.
