Limerick City based St Patricks GAA announced the news on social media this evening.
A statement said: "A case of Covid 19 has been identified which is associated with St Patrick's GAA club.
"The player is from an adult group, who trained with others in an outdoor setting and is considered a low/casual risk.

Navan side Simonstown Gaels said in a statement this evening: "A decision has been made to suspend all GAA activities at Simonstown GFC for 48 hours as a result of one adult panel member testing positive to Covid-19.
"All GAA and HSE guidelines have been followed and we await further advice from the HSE team.
