Limavady stabbing incident sees man arrested after woman sustains stab wound to her back

A 25 year old man has been arrested following a stabbing incident in Co Derry.

Police say a 26-year-old woman sustained a stab wound to her back at a house in the Eventide Gardens at around midnight.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A 26 year old woman sustained a wound to her back during the incident which occurred at a house in Eventide Gardens at around midnight.

"The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and is said to be in a stable condition.

"The arrested male remains in custody at present."
