Her father might have been centre stage at his $50 million defamation trial for the last six weeks, but this weekend all eyes were on Lily-Rose Depp.

The actress, supermodel and influencer - the daughter of Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Vanessa Paradis - celebrated her 23rd birthday on Sunday, sharing an Instagram photo dump of a huge bouquet of flowers and a series of glowing selfies in a pink lace camisole and “birthday princess” sash with her 5.9 million followers.

It was the first time Lily-Rose has posted to her profile since her father’s messy, soap opera-style court showdown against ex-wife Amber Heard over the last couple of months. Amid the multi-million dollar libel battle, The King star has understandably chosen to stay relatively silent, for which she has recieved some hate comments from social media users.

Lily-Rose did speak out in 2016 after abuse allegations against her father first surfaced. Sharing a photo of the two together on her Instagram, she captioned the post: “My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know. He’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and me, and everyone who knows him would say the same.” The post has since been deleted.
