Lily Gladstone, known for her role as Mollie Kyle in Martin Scorsese's 'Killers of the Flower Moon,' recently expressed her gratitude and positivity following the 2024 Oscars. Despite being a frontrunner for the Best Actress award, Gladstone lost to Emma Stone for her performance in 'Poor Things.'

After the ceremony, Gladstone took to social media to share her appreciation for the support she received, particularly from the Native American community. She also humorously mentioned giving the Oscar statue a playful tap on her way out of the Dolby Theater.

Although Gladstone missed out on making history as the first Native American Best Actress winner, she acknowledged the significance of other moments during the Oscars. She highlighted the live performance of 'Wahzhazhe (A Song for My People)' from 'Killers of the Flower Moon,' which featured Osage singers on stage.

Emma Stone, the eventual winner, recognized Gladstone and her fellow nominees in her acceptance speech, emphasizing their shared journey throughout the awards season. The two actresses had developed a close friendship, with Stone even gifting Gladstone a symbolic ring as a token of their bond.

Some industry analysts, like Variety's senior awards editor, suggested that Gladstone may have been more competitive in the Supporting Actress category rather than Lead Actress. There was ongoing debate about her role classification in 'Killers of the Flower Moon,' with many believing she could have secured an Oscar in a different category.

Despite the outcome, Gladstone's positive attitude and appreciation for the recognition received at the Oscars reflect her grace and humility in the face of disappointment.
