Lily Bakes Cakes to open new venue in Partick bakery

A popular Glasgow bakery is set to move into a new shop in the west end.

Lily Bakes Cakes, famous for its drool-worthy Instagram feed, has moved from its first home in Maryhill into a much larger building in Partick.

Located at 31 Hyndland Street, the bakery has now got the keys to its new premises, and can't wait to get started.

Announcing the move, a statement from Lily Bakes Cakes reads: "Finally the cat is out the bag! We will be open at our current Maryhill shop for TWO MORE WEEKS then will be closing our doors for a short while, then reopen at our new Partick shop!! The address is 31 Hyndland Street, right next door to @partickduckclub (oh hey new neighbours!!).

"I am so excited for this move, we really are moving on to bigger and better things!! Planning to open more days of the week, and serving drinks and ice cream along side our usual cakes you all know and love!! Thank you so much for supporting my journey and helping me grow!! I am so full of love.

"Thank you to Maryhill and all my locals who come near enough every week! You guys mean the absolute world to me and I hope you can come visit our new premises very soon! So sad to be saying goodbye to this shop and this area but it really has to be done as we have outgrown this bakery!"

With the bakery now out of its Maryhill premises, they have warned customers that they won't be taking booking for the next two months with no opening date currently set for the new shop.

We'll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for the grand return of Lily Bakes Cakes!
