Lille shooting: 'Three injured including 14-year-old boy after shots fired' near metro station

Three people have reportedly been injured, including a 14-year-old boy, in a shooting in the French city of Lille.

French website La Voix du Nord reported the teen was injured in the leg while another person was hit in the neck.

The incident took place near the Porte d'Arras metro station in the south of the city, the site said.

Police said the shooting happened at about 9.50pm on Friday.

Officers have dismissed terrorism as the motive for the shooting, according to local radio, and reports suggest it may have been a settling of accounts in a local dispute linked to drugs.

About a dozen bullet casings were said to have been retrieved and there is thought to have been only one attacker.
