Lille boss blasts Jose Mourinho for poaching coaching staff after Tottenham Hotspur appointment

Lille manager Christophe Galtier has criticised new Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho for poaching two members of his coaching team.

The former United manager was officially announced as Mauricio Pochettino's replacement on Wednesday and moved quickly to put together his backroom staff. Both Joao Sacramento and Nuno Santos departed Lille for north London following the Portuguese's arrival.

Reports suggest Tottenham will also seek to appoint Lille chief Luis Campos in a sporting director role - Campos was Mourinho's assistant manager during his time with Real Madrid.

Galtier is far from pleased with Mourinho's hiring members of his team and sarcastically praised the new Spurs boss during his pre-match press conference for Lille's clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

"Everyone has their own way of doing things," he said.

"But it's really classy. Really classy to act like that."

The Frenchman warned Tottenham that Campos would not be leaving the club.

He added: "Luis is 200% invested in the project and I don't see a 1000th of a wish to look elsewhere.

"We're close and looking forward."
