Rapper Lil Nas X has pleaded not guilty after being charged with four felonies for allegedly charging at police after they confronted him for walking down a Los Angeles street naked last week.
The “Old Town Road” singer, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was charged with three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one felony count of resisting an executive officer.

On Monday, the 26-year-old pleaded not guilty during a court appearance, with his attorney Christine O’Connor telling the judge that Lil Nas X has led a “remarkable” life.
“Assuming the allegations here are true, this is an absolute aberration in this person’s life. Nothing like this has ever happened to him,” she said, per NBC News.
The “Montero” rapper was arrested after he was found walking down a busy thoroughfare in the Studio City Neighbourhood in the early hours of Friday morning (US time). Passersby originally filmed the “Rodeo” rapper walking down the street in underwear and white boots, acting erratically. In a now viral video, Lil Nas X can be seen telling the person behind the camera that he was heading to a party. A second video obtained by TMZ showed him walking down the street naked.
When approached by officers, Lil Nas X reportedly charged at them and reportedly “punched an officer twice in the face during the encounter”.

After suspecting a possible overdose, police took the rapper to the hospital before being taken to jail. His bail was set at $75,000 ($115,687.18 AUD approx) with some drug-related conditions. According to TMZ, he has posted bail.
However, Lil Nas X could face years in jail if he is found guilty of his charges.
