
Lil Nas X has broken his silence after being arrested, charged and pleading not guilty to four felonies earlier this week.
The rapper, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was found by police wandering the streets in LA in his underwear last Friday. After allegedly charging at the officers, he was charged with three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one felony count of resisting an executive officer.

“You girl is going to be OK, y’all,” the “Old Town Road” singer told his 10.3 million followers on Instagram Stories.
“She’s going to be alright. She’s going to be alright. Shit. That was fucking terrifying. That was terrifying. That was a terrifying last four days, but your girl is going to be alright.”

Following his arrest on Friday, Lil Nas X was taken to the hospital with a suspected overdose before being taken to jail. His bail was set at $75,000 USD ($115,687.18 AUD approx) with some drug-related conditions.
On Monday, the 26-year-old appeared at the Los Angeles Superior Court for his arraignment, where he pleaded not guilty.
Police were originally called to the Studio City Neighbourhood in Los Angeles after receiving calls about an undressed man walking through a busy thoroughfare. Passersby filmed the “Rodeo” singer as he wandered the streets in white boots and underwear, and the videos soon went viral.
Before his arrest, Lil Nas X shared a bunch of bizarre posts on Instagram, which sparked concern among his followers. However, many fans believed the rapper was about to launch a new music era.
