Lil' Kim: Notorious BIG talks to me in my dreams

One month after the release of Notorious, the Biggie Smalls biopic, it isn't just the rapper's former girlfriend Lil' Kim who is complaining about it – it's the deceased Biggie himself.

Notorious BIG – born Christopher Wallace – has "come to me many times in my dreams," Kim recently told Rap Radar. "I don't think he's happy at all, at all! ... Biggie was so much more than what they put him out to be in that movie."

Lil' Kim has been an outspoken critic of Notorious long before the film had even been released. As Notorious BIG's protege and former lover, Kim felt that her portrayal in the film was coloured by the wishes of Voletta Wallace, Biggie's mother, and Faith Evans, his ex-wife. It was "fishy," she said last year, the she had been left out of the screenwriting process.

Of course, no one until now has spoken for Notorious BIG's ghost. "Ms Wallace doesn't know Biggie at all and she barely knows Christopher, if you know what I mean," Kim said. "At all! And I was around. Even before he blew up so crazy, so I know how he felt about his mom."

Although Biggie "has love for ... everybody who [was] involved in [Notorious]", Kim insists that he is "not satisfied" with the film. And, she warns, the spectral Christopher Wallace will make his feelings felt. "Let me tell you something, the way he's feeling is going to come out later. You're going to see who he really loved and the ones that's standing up for him the right way is the ones representing him the right way."

Maybe she means another posthumous album.
