'Like something you'd get in a lucky bag' Conor McGregor mocked over new million dollar watch

UFC superstar Conor McGregor sent social media into meltdown after a video emerged of his new $1million watch - which was likened to a Lucky Bag toy.

The 32-year-old's gold timepiece caused a huge stir with users on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, with several people saying it looked like it had come from the popular 1990s surprise packs.

One said: "I once had a watch like that, I got it from a £1 lucky bag!"

Another added: "It's awful. Looks like it came out of a 'lucky' bag."

Another said: "Sums him up. I think it looks gawdy like something you'd get in a lucky bag.... not sure if you can still get lucky bags."

And someone else posted: "Money has only bought this man gaudy accessories. The state of this... Looks like a lucky bag...."

Others said it looked like kids character watches, such as Thomas the Tank Engine.

And while some were blown away by the Irishman's new accessory, others hit out at the cost - and insisted the fighter should have used the money to do good during the Covid-19 pandemic.

One wrote: "Read the fecking room Conor!! Dolly Parton spent her million helping others.

"I understand it is your money but maybe wait til we are on our feet before you show it off."

And another posted: "It's ugly and a disgusting waste when people around the world are losing their jobs and going hungry."

McGregor is scheduled to make his long awaited UFC return on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada, against Dustin Poirier.

McGregor - a former two-division world champion - has not competed in the Octagon since losing a lightweight championship bout against Khabib Nurmagomedov 15 months ago.
