'Like Neymar in his prime' - Chelsea and Manchester United urged to spend big on Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho's future at Borussia Dortmund has been a near-constant topic of discussion since the summer.

The Bundesliga club ruled out selling their star man in January, but look set to cash in on the 19-year-old at the end of the season.

A host of the world's top clubs are said to be eyeing a move for the former Manchester City star, with Chelsea and Manchester United strongly linked.

And another great performance on the biggest stage will have done nothing to harm his potential value in the summer.

Frank Lampard believes Ziyech can have a big imprint on Premier League

Sancho was in action for Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, and was compared to opponent Neymar "in his prime".

Sancho set up three chances in the match, with no player on either side creating more as Erling Braut Haaland grabbed two goals either side of an away goal for Neymar.

Dortmund have a small advantage heading into the second leg in March, and BT Sport pundits Owen Hargreaves and Jermaine Jenas were full of praise for Sancho.

"That performance from Sancho was like Neymar in his prime," Hargreaves stated. "Off the cuff... He was unplayable.

"Get your cheque books out. Somebody go and sign that kid because he is special."

Jenas added: "He showed maturity beyond his years. He's a spearhead for them with what he brings, his lack of respect for the opposition.

"You always felt like he was going to do something tonight. That tells me he thinks he is the best player on the pitch."
